Melon and Cucumber Salad with Yogurt and Mint

This recipe is adapted from former Oakland restaurant Boot and Shoe Service. They made this dish featuring our melon and cucumbers, along with some other unexpected ingredients! Give it a try!


 2 cups melon, chopped into bite sized pieces
1 cup cucumber, chopped into bite sized pieces (peeled if you feel like it).
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1 bunch mint or hyssop, finely chopped.
Good quality olive oil
Finely ground hot red pepper, such as cayenne (to taste)


Combine the melon, cucumber, and a good drizzle of olive oil in a serving bowl. Spoon over the top a few dollops of thick yogurt, and top with the mint and a pinch or two of the hot pepper powder.
