Simple Creamed Greens
ingredients
1 bunch chard or other hearty greens, washed and sliced or torn up
2 tablespoons of butter
2-3 stems of green garlic or fresh onion, diced
Salt, pepper
1/4 - 1/3 cup cream
instructions
Melt the butter in a heavy pan and add the green garlic or onion. Â Cook the garlic/onion until tender and add your greens. Toss them in the pan and cook until wilted. Â If there is a lot of liquid in the pan, bunch the greens to one side, press out the liquid and pour it off. Â Add salt and pepper to taste. Â When the greens are cooked as you like them, pour in the cream. Â Cook it down until the cream has thickened.
