Green Beans with Lemon and Garlic
What an amazing box this week! All-at-once-like, we have a lot of summer happening in the field. We had a very hot weekend, and expect more hot weather this week.
1-pound of green beans with their ends trimmed
1 tablespoon olive oil
1-1/2 tablespoons butter
2 large garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon lemon zest
Heat a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Add the oil and butter. Add the garlic and sauté for about 1 minute. Add the beans and continue to sauté until the beans are tender-crisp. Add the lemon zest at the end and season with the cayenne/red pepper flakes, salt and pepper.
