Broccoli is a wonderful cool weather crop that grows with great abundance at Full Belly Farm. Low in calories, this high fiber, high vitamin, phyto-nutrient dense crop should be part of your culinary repertoire. To make the most out of this nutrient rich crop, be sure to eat it when it is fresh. Broccoli can be stored in the refrigerator, in a plastic bag, for a few days.  Make it simple — just chop it up and steam it, or be more adventurous and make it part of a hearty soup!  Taste the stem as well.  It is sometimes the sweetest part, although you may want to peel it.
