Wool for Sale
Organic Wool Yarn
Sheep are an integral part of our diversified farm, eating down crop residues and turning plant materials into fertilizer as they are rotated through our harvested fields. Our sheep are sheared once per year, in May, and their wool is processed at the Green Mountain Spinnery in Vermont, one of the only Certified Organic wool mills in the country.
The blending of wool from our different breeds (Rambouillet, Lincoln, Suffolk and Merino) results in a soft, high-quality yarn perfect for knitting, crocheting or weaving. Our Yarn is 3-ply and comes in a 4 oz. skein (approximately 225 yards). All yarn is un-dyed and reflects the natural colors.
Yarn can be purchased on our online farm shop or the three farmers markets we visit every week.

Organic Roving For Spinning
We also make roving from our sheep’s wool. This is pre-carded wool, all ready for those who want to do their own spinning. It comes in sliver “ropes,” in all-natural colors of white and brown. This roving also works really well for weaving thick rugs. Email us or call us at 530-796-2214 for more information.
