Open Farm Day Saturday March 25

Spring is a magical time of year at the farm. From the bouncing baby lambs to the honey-scented blossoms, every day it seems as though something else is waking up from a long winter nap. This year, after the buckets of rain we received, everything seems a little bit more vibrant. Our pastures are thick with grass, the trees seem to grow before our eyes, and insects are buzzing from bloom to bloom with glee. The farmers at Full Belly all agree: this is the best time to visit the farm! For that reason, we invite you, your family, and friends to our Open Farm Day on March 25.

Farm tours will begin at 11am. Together, we will traipse through fields of spring vegetables, visit flower fields, chat with the chickens (and maybe collect a few eggs), and snuggle our 13 bottle-fed lambs. We will have a farm stand with eggs, veggies, jams and jellies, and our pantry goods for sale. Perhaps the most exciting: Amon and Jenna (our on-farm chef team) will be firing up the pizza ovens and we will have pizza for sale. Farm fresh salads, dessert, and beverages will also be available to purchase. Bring a picnic blanket, a bottle of wine (or sparkling cider!) and stay for the afternoon!

Our neighbors at Pasture 42 will be open on the same day. They invite you to come hang with cows, pigs, sheep, chickens and farmers. They will have tastings of their grass-fed dairy products, and olive oils, balsamic vinegars, and pasture-raised meats for sale. Their tour will begin at 2pm, which will allow you to visit both farms for maximum learning!

The Open Farm Day tour is free for everyone. This is a rain or shine event – be prepared for muddy conditions, wet weather, and a delightful time. Please leave all dogs at home. We welcome service animals.
