Farm Box Donation

Full Belly Farm Good Food Community Fund

With the help of our members, the Full Belly CSA program is able to donate five CSA boxes per week to various community groups. Full Belly is part of a number of such efforts that distribute good food to those in need, but the CSA donations are impressive in that they have continued from 1992 to this day. The generous contributions and volunteer effort of our CSA members make this program possible. You can include a food donation when you pay for your boxes, or you can tell us to donate a box when you are going on vacation. (Note: Please give us 4 days advance notice if you wish to donate your box to our Good Food Program.)

One of the groups that gets donations is the Charlotte Maxwell Clinic, a licensed primary care facility that serves low-income women with cancer. The Clinic provides free therapies such as acupuncture, homeopathy, massage and Chinese and western herbs. Charlotte Maxwell logoAn in-home comfort care program is available for clients with end-stage cancer who are too weak to come to the Clinic. The post-treatment program treats and supports women who have completed their allopathic treatments. For more information about the Clinic, view this video.  (NOTE: As of 10/1/20, these donations are on hold until the Clinic is able to reopen.)

While the Charlotte Maxwell Clinic is closed, we are making donations to local Capay Valley community members through a food distribution site in Guinda run by the Yolo Food Bank.
